Welcome, I’m Dr. Shihwe Wang*

*Hear my name

I have enjoyed helping people my whole life. As a teen, I worked as a baby-sitter and camp counselor. In college, I knew immediately after taking Intro to Counseling Psychology that I had found my calling. I went on to get a PhD in clinical/counseling/school psychology (counseling emphasis) from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Before opening my private practice, I worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health clinics, medical clinics, alcohol/drug rehabilitation, and a Veterans’ hospital. I have been practicing therapy for 20 years and am a continual life-long learner of the ways to improve the emotional well-being of people, families, and communities. I am honored to work with people from all racial, ethnic, cultural, disability, religious, economic, sexual orientation, generational, gender, body size, and veteran identities.
